HOTEL
All our recommendations come from personal experiences and the first on the list is the Pacific Palisades Hotel in Vancouver. This Klimpton hotel is vibrant and comfortable but also boutique in style so that it has an intimate quality which is really nice. It is a home away from home and most of all the people are friendly. Always a good sign. As you can see on the right the rooms are bright and airy and the beds are comfortable. Below you can check out the living areas of the suites. These come with a small kitchen and whether on business or pleasure the space makes for a really pleasant stay. It is pet friendly which is definitely a plus.
Rooms have full amenities and high speed internet access. There is a gym and swimming pool as well as spa, meeting and banquet rooms and it has its own restaurant called Zin so if you happen to be in Vancouver and want to stay in a great boutique style hotel right in the heart of downtown on Robson Street then check out the Pacific Palisades. There is also parking on the premises for an additional cost. However even if you choose not to drive the Airporter bus stops here from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and you can walk to some of the best shops and restaurants around as well as the waterfront area. Check out our Vancouver report for more hints and tips.

Another favourite hotel of ours is in West Kelowna right on the lake. The Cove Lakeside Resort like the hotel above is boutique style, with amazing views of the lake and beautiful accommodation. It features one, two and three bedroom suites with patios, full kitchens and even a wine fridge. Once again a pet friendly hotel. Kelowna is wine country and there are two wineries close by the resort. We will be adding more information about the area to the website shortly.
